Linkage Harvest Supper 2018

The Harvest Supper and Quiz will be held this coming Friday at 19.30 in St Andrew’s Hall. If you intend to come, but not yet confirmed,  please speak to Fiona Gibson (St Andrews) (01877 331508 email fionagibson20@btinternet.com) or Melanie Grosse (St Mary’s) (01877382887 email mfg1754@gmail.com  as soon as possible. As in previous years, supper is provided on a bring and share basis. It is suggested that each person brings one item serving six people. The items are quiche, cold meat, salad, pudding, a bottle of wine or a soft drink. When contacting Fiona or Melanie, please indicate what you feel able to provide.

PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CROCKERY CUTLERY AND GLASSES!

Evelyn Nicolson RIP

Evelyn died in her sleep yesterday. A great debt of gratitude is owed to her by St Andrews congregation, not least for her service as People’s Warden for many years.  May she rest in God’s peace.

 

Evelyn Nicolson’s funeral will take place at St. Andrews on Monday 17th September commencing at 10.45.

 

Balfron Kirk Flower Festival

Sat 15th Sept 10am-4pm and Sun 16th Sept 2pm-4pm. Songs of Praise on Sun 16th Sept at 6pm. All welcome.

Theme: The Chesney Trust

An address by Jamie Wastling

The Chesney Trust was set up in 2006 by a member of St Mary’s congregation, Janet Chesney to raise money to build and run a secondary girls’ boarding school in Engcongolweni, near Mzuzu in the north of Malawi.  Jamie visited the project over the summer and shares his experiences
