These took place yesterday. Special thanks is due to those who spent time and effort decorating both churches and those who contributed gifts to charity
St Andrews Christmas Fair
Boxes to receive donations to various stalls are now at the back of church. Thank you to those who have donated so far.
St Mary’s Third Sunday at Three Concert Series
The next concert will take place at 15.00 on Sunday 15th October and given by Alison McNeil and Sasha Savaloni. This is a concert for voice and guitar featuring songs from Spain, France and Scotland. Entry by donation.
The Concert Team are always considering new ways to advertise the
concert series. Earlier this summer they started to have flyers printed
for each concert. These can be left in suitable locations – libraries,
filling stations, medical centres, post offices for people to pick up,
or handed to friends and acquaintances. The minimum order for these is
500, and the organisers have been trying to distribute them, but their
reach is necessarily local to Aberfoyle, and many of the 500 copies are
wasted. So the organisers are asking for volunteers from the
congregation to help them reach further: could you help please? Christopher Roads or Richard will be pleased to hear from you.
St Andrew’s Rag Bag Collection
The next collection is due to beheld on Thursday 2nd November. Al Forrester is our contact.

The next meeting of The Callander Filling Station will be on Saturday 14th October from 6.30 – 8.30pm in the Deli Ecosse, Ancaster Square, Callander, FK17 8ED
Our speaker for the evening will be Ruth Jack who is no stranger to Callander. Up until a couple of years ago, Ruth and her husband Duncan and their family lived in Callander for a number of years. Ruth returns to Callander with her MAF hat on and will be giving us an update about the incredible work done by Mission Aviation Fellowship.

Trinity 18
Almighty and everlasting God,
increase in us your gift of faith
that, forsaking what lies behind
and reaching out to that which is before,
we may run the way of your commandments
and win the crown of everlasting joy;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
