At the next meeting of the Loch Ard Local History Group, first cousins Marjory Brown and Ann Wallace born in Drumlean between Kinlochard and Aberfoyle will reminisce about World War 2. The war featured as a major part of their childhood. In conversation with Joyce Kelly, they will recall what it meant growing up at that time. The discussion will include memories of evacuees in the area, the arrival of American and British soldiers, and how VE day was recognised. Their first-hand childhood experience of testing gas masks will be equally interesting! This is one of those rare experiences not to be missed. Venue is Kinlochard Village Hall starting at 7.30 pm in Wednesday 6th November. Further details from Joyce Kelly-secretary on 01877 387292 or James Kennedy-chairman on 01877 387201.
