Election of New Bishop

Lenten Ecumenical Retreat
A Lenten Retreat is now available online from the Ignatian Spirituality Centre in Glasgow. It can be accessed through the website : www.lentretreat.uk It provides daily readings from scripture and other materials to help deepen prayer life, by spending time with the readings each day during Lent. There will also be a weekly Lent Retreat Group meeting in Callander throughout Lent. The group will give space to introduce some of the themes of the retreat and time for quiet reflection and contemplative music, and for sharing of our experience of the material provided. Paper copies of the material can also be made available for those who prefer or who do not have access to a computer. For further information contact: Jane Vale on 01877 331726 or by email janevale22@btinternet.com The weekly group will take place at St Joseph’s Church Hall on Tuesday afternoons at 2.15pm and will start on Tuesday 13th February and finish on Tuesday 27th March.
Ruth and Eric Dyer
We have enjoyed Ruth and Eric’s fellowship for some four years and so it is with regret we learn that they will shortly return to their roots in Somerset and a new home in Wells. They leave with our love and prayers for their future happiness.

Collect
Almighty Father,
whose Son was revealed in majesty
before he suffered death upon the cross:
give us grace to perceive his glory,
that we may be strengthened to suffer with him
and be changed into his likeness, from glory to glory;
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.

Almighty and everlasting God,
you hate nothing that you have made
and forgive the sins of all those who are penitent:
create and make in us new and contrite hearts
that we, worthily lamenting our sins
and acknowledging our wretchedness,
may receive from you, the God of all mercy,
perfect remission and forgiveness;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
